Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a kindergarten teacher. This is my third year teaching in this school. I love my community and feel very grateful to teach in this school. Reading is essential for all students. In order for my students to become readers, they must learn to decode.

Strong readers start at the very beginning decoding.

These decodable books will help my students start decoding letters, sounds, and making blends. My students would benefit from these books because they will engage them in the new world of reading.

My students are a group of kindergarten ENL students that are curious and excited to learn more about kindergarten.
