My students were engaged in reading the book, Esperanza Rising, by Pam Ryan Munoz as it hit home when it comes to migrant farm workers. Therefore, to increase and expand their knowledge of the hardships of migrant labor, my interest is for my students to dive into the life of Francisco Jimenez as they read the book, The Circuit. In our community, the majority of my student's parents work in the fields; therefore, my students will have a book of their own as we read aloud the book and have a discussion of each chapter.
