Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are curious, energetic, and full of wonder. They come to school each day ready to explore, ask questions, and engage with the world around them. Their enthusiasm for learning is infectious, and their unique perspectives and backgrounds contribute to a rich, dynamic classroom environment. They are special because they bring a sense of joy and discovery to everything we do, and they inspire me to be a better educator every day.

The rug will provide a comfortable and inviting space for my students to sit and read.

It will help define the reading nook area, making it a distinct and special place where they can immerse themselves in books.

The bean bag will offer a cozy and supportive seating option for my young learners. It will make reading time more enjoyable and encourage them to spend more time in the reading nook, fostering a love for books.

The curtain will create a sense of enclosure and privacy in the reading nook, helping my students to focus and feel secure. It will also add a touch of magic and whimsy to the space, making it even more appealing to young readers.

Promote a Love of Reading: By creating a dedicated and comfortable reading nook, I aim to instill a lifelong love of reading in my students. I want them to see reading as a fun and enjoyable activity.

Enhance Focus and Engagement: The cozy environment of the reading nook will help students concentrate better, leading to more meaningful and engaged reading experiences.

Foster Independence: The reading nook will encourage students to explore books on their own, fostering a sense of independence and self-directed learning.
