Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from low-income families who have not all had the opportunity to experience everything the world has to offer them. They are able to use what is provided to them inside the classroom, but would love to enhance their learning even more! My students are eager to learn, and would benefit from hands-on activities and other resources that will allow them to grow.

Knowing that many of my students are unable to afford educational materials necessary to grow, I am eager to find a way to provide it to them on my own!

My Project

Many of my students are not up to reading grade-leveled texts yet. They need additional support and practice in order to achieve their goals in doing so. My class loves to act and put on plays, and I believe that having Reader's Theater in the class would make a world of a difference! They will learn not only to read fluently, but to also cooperate with one another, work hard, and have fun!

I want to be able to provide my students with different opportunities inside the classroom.

I want my class to see that reading is fun, and can take you to many different places! Reader's Theatre will allow my students to grow and enjoy reading in an exciting, new way!
