My Project

Reading can be difficult for some students. I am creating this project to make reading fun and accessible to all students. Reading should inspire us to be the best humans we can be.

The Tonies characters make reading accessible to all children.

They read books to children who may be unable to read on their own YET! Our school serves students speaking languages from all over the globe. My goal is for students to become passionate about reading no matter where they are on their reading journey!

We also are a Title One school, meaning we have the unique opportunity to make sure that students get chances at school that they might not get at home. Many of our students do not have access to a full library of books at home. The Tonies characters allow students a fun engaging opportunity to read and imagine within the classroom.

I hope that you will help me spark the power of reading within my classroom.
