Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My 6th grade students are a diverse, accepting, and curious group of children!

Every year we learn and read about Malala and her courageous stance in favor of children's education around the world!

I love seeing how my students get to know about her journey, her culture, and her reasons for wanting and needing to speak out for children to be able to to go to school. While this is something that we might easily take for granted, in learning about her ordeal and challenges on her journey as a young education advocate. I know that this is a memoir my students all learn to love and I would really appreciate them having their very own (and new) copy of this book for us to read.
