Reading - It's Alive and Well at our School!

Help me give my students books! These books have been specifically requested by my 10th-grade students, but they will benefit the entire school.

My Project

I love my students because they are so enthusiastic. Their smiles are so big when they are excited about something, and when a recently box of books arrived into my classroom you would have thought it was a box of gold bars. Every single one of the seventeen students in the classroom ran to the front of the room to grab as many books as they could carry. Every single student went back to their desks and corners of the room to read. Some even read out loud to others in a small group. Soon, word had gotten out in the school and I had students knocking on my door, inquiring about "the newest books."

Many people think that reading is dead and has been replaced by electronics; I am here to refute that statement.

Students just need books that they are interested in! My students have requested this set of books and I would love to continue to help aid in their love of reading.
