I am a Special Education Teacher at PS 197 in Harlem, New York. The majority of my children are reading below the required grade level and are in danger of repeating the second grade. These children are from low income families where books are usually left off the shopping list. I would like to create a classroom library where my students can take books home every evening to read in order to improve their reading skills. I would appreciate donations of children books such as Clifford, the Big Red Dog series, from authors such as Ezra Jack Keats among others. These will be greatly appreciated by everyone in my classroom.
