Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The books I am requesting are meant to help foster a love of reading at all levels. Many of the chapter books I am requesting are books that students have been requesting for a long time. One of the books in particular, The Rise of the Shadowfire, has been requested before its release date. The beginner level chapter books will help students focus on their reading levels while still providing characters and plots they love. The Pig the Pug series is one picture book series that is highly requested.

I will add these books to our library to allow all students a chance to foster their love for reading.

My students are readers at all levels, so a project like this is meant to reach each and every student here. When children have books they enjoy reading, they forget that they are learning. Reading these books will help foster empathy and a love for reading that will last them a lifetime.
