Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My diverse readers are so enthusiastic about learning. They enjoy reading all types of books.

Many of my students are struggling readers.

They have difficulty staying on task because of their lack of reading skills. But mostly because of the lack of engaging books they require.

The majority of my students are from low-income families. Many of them may not have the resources needed to read every night. I want them to have as many resources as possible to help them grow as readers.

My Project

These books will be appreciated and enjoyed by my diverse readers. They enjoy choosing new books to read every week . This set of books will be a great addition to my classroom library which has very worn books. My students need new and exciting books to keep them engaged.

They will be used for guided reading which will help me teach my students reading strategies.

These strategies are important and will help them decode new words. My students will love these new books. I can't wait to see there faces light up when they receive them.
