My Students

Working in a Title I school in south Queens, there is never a dull moment. My students are energetic, affectionate, silly, and lovable.

While their life at home isn’t always easy, they know that they will always have a safe and comfortable environment in my classroom.

In the last year, we became a magnet/STEAM school, incorporating science, engineering, math, technology, and the arts in and out of the classroom.

I want to ensure that my students have all the best resources at their fingertips to help them reach their full potential.

My Project

After a year of COVID and virtual learning, my third graders need to learn the joy of reading.

Last year the students in my school were learning from home.

They were unable to read chapter books. My goal is to instill the love of reading. Too many of our students do not have chapter books in their homes and are not reading on grade level.

I believe giving children new books to read will help the student learn to love reading again! If you give a child a book it will open their minds! THANK YOU
