My Students

My students range from grade 8 to grade 12. They have such unique personalities but have learned how to work together to learn a language. They are imaginative and creative.

My students are enthusiastic about learning a language.

Sometimes they need a little prodding to acquire the language, but when they are on their game, they are a lot of fun! We come together as a class and support each other in our learning and language acquiring.

My Project

My goal is to have enough books that each student can choose 1 or 2 to keep with them, and then read during our designated Reading time either in class or remotely. Since students cannot share materials this year, I cannot run my reading program without enough physical books for students to have.

Students deserve to have the same reading opportunities as years past, and not have to sacrifice enjoyable activities like reading a book.

This project will allow them to learn to enjoy reading in Spanish. They enjoy the quiet time in class when all are reading, and love that they can read at their own pace with no expectations of a grade or assignment.
