My class is filled with an atmosphere of love and support. We support each other and have created a classroom community of safety, and a spark for learn more about the world around them.
Our classroom is very unique with many coming to school every day from different cultures, languages, and abilities.
It is our priority to honor their culture, teach them to be tolerant of others, and have a love and respect learning from others.
My Project
Having an inviting, comfortable reading corner in my classroom will provide for my student's additional emotional support. In my experience, students that enjoy reading will read more and we know that the more children read, the more they learn. There are many times when students need that extra space just to themselves to be able to escape the pressures and stress of COVID. A reading corner can provide this. In addition, having headphones for their Chromebooks that will be sturdy to provide extra focus when they're online. Multilingual learners will benefit greatly by being able to use listening skills.
