This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My kindergarten students have achieved so much this school year, especially in reading. I teach at a Title I school so my students come to me with many differences and from different backgrounds. Many of my students started kindergarten with very little academic background and most have very little help at home to practice their skills. Our curriculum is fast paced and jam packed. Even with these obstacles, I have high expectations for my students and they have done amazing at reaching and surpassing those expectations. I would love to celebrate them and all their accomplishments with a special glow in the dark day! I would use these glow in the dark items to transform my room for a fun filled day of reading and writing with all things GLOWING! My students are funny and curious and they deserve a fun learning day they’ll remember! I want to encourage these future leaders to continue learning and growing. I think this glow in the dark party is exactly what they need to motivate them to keep learning.
