This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

A child's reading skills are important for their academic success.

The love of reading will enable them to increase reading comprehension, vocabulary growth, and knowledge of how the world operates.

As a new teacher in a 4th grade classroom, I noticed that there was not a class library available. The few students that transitioned from a virtual setting to hybrid were amazing! These smart and inquisitive learners demonstrated a love for reading. I am sure that my future students for this new school year will look forward to a quiet and relaxing space in the classroom that create a great reading experience.Please help me promote the love of literacy in the classroom. Your support is greatly appreciated.

My Project

In order to promote to love of literacy in the classroom, students need books of interest to keep them engaged in daily reading. These books will allow students to develop reading comprehension skills, attain new vocabulary, and knowledge of the world. A cozy corner in the classroom with their favorite book titles will allow students to enjoy reading in a relaxing and peaceful setting. With a variety of different books, students will be able to read independently within their grade level. This is a great opportunity for students to increase reading skills.
