Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This year, I have a bigger class full of amazing and sweet students who need a lot of emotional and academic support. My school is a Title I school and I need some materials to help give my students a classroom environment that they find welcoming with the resources they need. I am creating this exciting and fun atmosphere but my students would also love to have plushies as their reading buddies. As mentioned before, many of the students in my class are having challenges with different emotions right now, and having a plushie to hug while they are reading is a great way to support their learning.

Also, having a collection of different fun books would be a great choice for them to have during independent reading time.

We have fun Fridays, where students can choose flexible sittings (wobbles) and can go anywhere around the room.

By providing these tools, I am sure my students will not only enjoy every moment of their learning experience but also, they will connect all their reading to other subjects such as Math and Social Science. My students are eager to learn reading and math and I will, with your support, do everything I can to help them reach their goal!
