My Students

How many of you have an iPad? I don't personally have an iPad, but everyday I see more and more applications and experiences tied to an iPad's use in the classroom.

It is still summer but I know in August I will once again be greeted with 27 eager, hard-working, respectful students.

Our school is a Title 1 school. This year is our first year being part of a new school system and the first year adopting the English Language Arts Common Core. I believe two iPads will not only help me lead with presentations but also provide many new resources for my students.

My Project

Even though I am a young teacher, I am completely old school in that I have my students play board games during free time. I believe it is important for them to learn how to work well with others, how to win compassionately, but also how to lose. I cannot deny that our world is moving lightning fast technology wise. My students need the interaction with modern day technology. I have also found numerous online resources on how to efficiently use an iPad in the classroom.

My students and myself will greatly appreciate any donation to our project.
