My Project

My kindergarten students are the most lovable, loving, cutest, funniest, most creative, and the hardest working little five and six-year-olds you could ever meet. They love to learn and they strive to be their very best in every possible way. Both their academics and their character matter to them. They make me proud every day! Every day!

As the year nears its end, the students are all anxious to advance their reading comprehension for the upcoming school year.

Teachers are given the basic curriculum for their grade, but they don’t often have the extras they need to really propel their children to the next level necessary.

My kindergarten students need reading materials that will allow them to move beyond simply decoding words and fundamental reading to learning comprehension skills such as: understanding and identifying topic, main idea, supporting details, text evidence, inferencing etc. These sets are a vital part of the next steps my students need to take for the upcoming school year !
