Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

During small group time, the children are working with teacher made photocopied (black and white) letter and word games. They are not kid friendly. Adding beautiful and tactile puzzle games will help the students be more interested in learning the alphabet and sounding out words.

Alphabet puzzles and CVC games will be a fun and necessary addition to our small group time!

My hope is that the children will enjoy being in differentiated center groups and using the new materials. This will allow me more time to address their individual needs while I am meeting with small groups.

I have a class with ELL's and many students are still struggling to learn the alphabet. I would like to try something new with them and have them use fun tactile games that will enhance their recognition of the alphabet. This will benefit the children with learning differences.
