Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students attend Title One, a charter school in Texas where one hundred percent of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. Despite many hardships, my students are college-bound, eager to learn, and always do their best.

Our school is dedicated to providing students with purposeful academic experiences during prolonged school closures.

YPS Reimagined is our academic program for the 20-21 school year that provides online instruction with an intent to transition to face-to-face learning as soon as it is safe to do so.

Although our community has experienced so many lifestyle changes over the past few months, our students have a determination to succeed and are committed to going to college!

My Project

We believe it is important to provide a physical environment that supports literacy and problem-solving.

These resources will allow us to create an inviting, warm physical environment that encourages scholars to read.

A well-arranged environment should enhance students' development and learning. The way the physical environment is designed and configured influences how students feel, act and behave. The physical environment allows growth and development in a welcoming and defined areas.

The physical environment affects student morale and learning. In our Reading classroom, we want to create a sense of community and pride.
