Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students will be reading to other students at our K-8 school. My 6th graders have been paired to read to kindergarteners. I want to ensure my students have a range of books to chose from to read with their buddies. This should include books that represent the diverse population at our school. The pool of books selected will empower students and their identities. These books also offer students to learn about other identities. I want to offer students a wide range of options to chose from as they read with their buddies.
