This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students with Autism cannot access our school curriculum because they are still working on their foundational skills. Each student has a reading, math, and writing goal they are working towards. I constantly try to look for resources to scaffold their learning. In class, my students seek sensory stimulation. These sensory toys will provide the sensory input that my students crave. It will help improve concentration and anxiety by keeping their little hands busy so they can attend the lessons. The fidgets, spinners, sensory mats, and other requested items will be used as a reinforcer reward with applied behavior analysis. I will use Lakeshore and Teachers Pay Teachers resources to supplement our school curriculum during small group reading and Math instruction.
