Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Help to give my students some new options of places to sit while they read and enjoy some great stories. My library can always use more diversity and inclusion.

These hand-picked favorites will allow my students to see themselves mirrored in texts or see a window of possibilities.

Help my students to have more books with characters that look like them to teach about the themes such as inclusion, anti-racism, community activism, and self-love.

All students deserve a well-rounded library and options to sit in a way that best helps them to learn. Providing more options in my classroom for students to bounce and wobble while they read and listen is so important. The extra wobble stools and stability balls will bring the needed seating options to my classroom to make literacy time more active and help with their whole-body listening. This project brings both of those things to life for a lively group of 5 and six-year-old students and will do for years to come.
