My Students

I teach energetic, kind-hearted, enthusiastic students in a French-Dual Language first-grade classroom at a public school in Brooklyn. Some of my students are experiencing a school setting for the first time given they were 100% remote last year. They walk into our classroom every day with a smile on their face, excited to see their classmates and to learn.

My Project

The math games I have chosen will ease them into learning first grade mathematical concepts like telling time, adding and subtracting, understanding place value. The reading games I have chosen will support my students become stronger readers.

My first graders will find learning math and reading skills and concepts much more enjoyable by interacting with hands-on math and reading games.

I want my students to continue to be inspired to learn and engage in activities and games that will allow for their inspiration to continue growing. Last year, some of my students were sitting behind a screen with restricted learning opportunities and this year for some of my students, it will be their first time engaging in reading and math games in an environment other than their homes.
