Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are First Grade students who live in New York City. A day in the life of my ICT students involves them teaching each other and working together. As their teacher, I want to do my very best to make their year in First Grade their most successful yet.

They come from low socioeconomic backgrounds and mostly Spanish speaking or bilingual homes.

They come to school eager to learn and explore new things each and every day. Having different activities to use will help them become even more successful!

My Project

All of our students learn in different ways! Many of my students have not read a variety of books. We are asking for some new books to add to our collection of read alouds as well as new materials to engage students during center time.

These materials will help students learn to build words and practice their math skills.

My students learn by having tools that let them be hands on with their learning! Students will use a variety of tools during math and literacy centers.

We end our day with a story and these books will help expand our variety of read alouds!
