Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Give this project a boost!
A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
My students especially those who have been to preschool are very confident and are eager to be involved. They like going places and doing things, such as working on projects, experimenting, and working with others. Some are independent workers and some are growing in their ability and desire to work cooperatively with others. They want to learn and be successful. Their combination of a “can do” attitude and their cooperation and responsibility make them a delight to teach and work with.
My Project
Circle time provides a regular opportunity for a story and some show and tell. Circle time in early childhood fosters a sense of community. Although it supports the development of all students regardless of ability students can experience a feeling of belonging to the group during circle time. Circle time can be of special benefit to students struggling to learn a new language or who feel shy and awkward in a group setting. During circle time it creates a community where everyone feels they belong including students experiencing special circumstances. Circle time help teachers educate students and lead them towards participation. A teaching easel would provide a great visual for students to use during reading and writing instruction. Having this easel in my classroom will be helpful to improve student engagement and achievement during circle time. It would help make whole and small group lessons to be much more effective.
