This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Hello there! Thank you for taking an interest in my students. I teach Emergent Bilinguals at a Title I school. Most of them have reached a mid to high level of English language learning but they are still struggling to find books that excite their imagination and make them want to read. That is where these book series come to the rescue.

My goal for my students is to offer them engaging reading adventures that they have actually heard of and look forward to reading.

Reading strategies are great but hardly a substitute for good, grade appropriate literature. These reads will go a long way to sparking a lifetime of English reading and literature exploration for each of them. Besides, who can resist a good book?
