My Students

My students are hungry for knowledge. They live and learn in a fast pace dictated by a world that is constantly changing and advancing. Because of this, I envision them to become productive citizens of the world who will effect change that will benefit all of humankind.

My students are a diverse group.

Each is a unique element that makes up a colorful tapestry. Although they come from various walks of life, they all share a common passion and respect for learning. They are eager to come to class and are always excited to learn something new each day. They love our school, not only because it is a conducive and safe place to learn, but also because of its rich history. But while it is true that they have a positive attitude towards learning, they also have challenges. Most of them have academic deficiencies that cause them to fall behind in their learning. This is compounded by the fact that our school does not always have the resources that could help my students learn skills and concepts that will enhance their critical thinking skills.

My Project

My students will be engaged in small group and work station activities throughout the year, and one of the stations is a technology station. The laptop I requested in this project will be a reliable addition to our technology station. It will allow my students to research, access educational websites, as well as create projects that challenge their creativity and depth as learners in this digital age. This device will be an integral part of my instruction to cater to my students’ learning styles. It will allow me to differentiate lessons as well as integrate various intervention practices that will help all of my students, regardless of their instructional levels.

With the donations to this project, my classroom will have a reliable technological device that will ensure the availability of a resource that will allow them to research, log-in to educational websites, and create computer based projects.

The donations will further inspire my students to do well in their day to day learning experiences as well as motivate them to plod along despite their challenges and difficulties and achieve their goal of becoming global graduates.
