My students need a classroom library full of 41 books to enhance and increase their reading abilities.

A classroom can not succeed without the proper materials – especially books. Children need to be able to read appropriate grade level books that will enhance their learning. My students are third graders who live in an urban environment that is filled with many distractions.

I have various levels of learning that take place inside my classroom. I have several students who are quite advanced, while I have others who are ESL students and need lower level books. The books that the students need are not present in the classroom. I have challenged them to complete 100 hours of reading, however my classroom library does not have enough books for all students to enjoy.

I need books to fill a classroom library that will have a wide variety of books that will fit the needs of all of my students. Any books that can be donated will be greatly appreciated. The books that are donated will benefit the students that are in my class now and those who will be in years to come. Our children need to build an interest in the ability to read and the only way to do it is to provide them with the resources they need. Excellent readers with great reading comprehension skills will be successful in their lives. I have requested some books from Barnes and Noble. The students would greatly appreciate any books whether they are used or new. Any contribution would go to great use.

Your generous donation will help my students enhance their reading comprehension skills. The students need to be able to read a passage and understand what the author is trying to tell them. The only way our children will enhance their reading skills is with the proper books. You can bring learning and joy together in a way that will never be forgotten.
