it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am requesting new books for classroom reading adventures! Kindergartners love books. They love being read to, reading with a partner, and reading on their own. They love to talk about what they read, compare characters and events, and share their opinions about plots and themes.
Providing a wide range of books ensures every reader will be challenged and every day. I am asking for wordless books accessible to pre-readers (they're fun for everyone and provide rich conversation too)! as well as some chapter books for advanced readers and readalouds. These books also represent diverse perspectives, so that every child can see and be seen on the page. Your support will provide hours of reading pleasure for years to come.
