Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This iPad will enhance teaching and learning in the ELA classroom. I will connect the iPad to the Promethean Board to engage students in active learning, and promote creativity, and understanding in reading. Also, donations to this project will help to improve my students' understanding of and competency in authentic, meaningful writing.

Technology and reading can go hand-in-hand.

Technology can support readers through the added tools and features accessible with digital text by assisting them in building background knowledge or introducing unfamiliar vocabulary. It can be used as a whiteboard during differentiated instruction and to import images, make audio and video recordings, or for writing and drawing. Having an iPad will make the students more excited and engaged in reading activities and further build proficiency.
