Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Many students are not engaged in reading yet because they have not found that book that speaks to them. Graphic novels and books about relevant cultural icons or events are ways of grabbing new or reluctant readers. While the new Percy Jackson series is out, many students are interested in the book, and our library can't keep up with the demand.

We also need books where students can see themselves represented.

The lil libros books are perfect because they are about places where many students will feel familiar with and that will draw them into checking out the book.
