Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My third graders love to read. This is something that as a teacher I work hard to nurture, and they enter the classroom with a natural curiosity to pick up a book and enter a new world. Unfortunately, my classroom library needs some TLC and it has not seen new books in years. Last year, I, along with some amazing volunteers, spent a lot of time discarding old, torn, and outdated books. This left our shelves a little bare.

My students feel such joy when we introduce new books to our library and I need your help to continue spreading the joy.

Every book on this list has been carefully chosen with their interests and reading levels in mind. The best way to keep them engaged in reading is to continue providing new books and more choice, and this is exactly what this project will do.
