My Project

I asked my students what novel they would like to read in class this year, and a few of them who don’t enjoy reading at all asked for Percy Jackson The Lightning Thief. I of course want to make this a reality for them because it’s my personal goal as a teacher to help students learn to enjoy reading.

Our school library doesn’t have enough copies of this book, so I thought I would try to find a way to get it into their hands.

The majority of my students are of low socioeconomic status, and I didn’t want to ask parents to buy something they might not be able to afford.

Please help me make this a reality for my students this year if you can. Thank you!
