My Project

Covid has impacted students and families not only in my small rural community but all over the world. So many children were at home watching television, playing on cell phones, video games or tablets! They weren’t in school with direct instruction and, they were made to do virtual learning. Re-introducing reading to children requires books that are engaging and challenging. Having a wide variety in my classroom such as Pete the Cat, Emilia Bedelia, Fly Guy, and more will help me reach all levels of readers and encourage them to keep reading!
