Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have a class of 20 four and five year old eager, energetic kindergarteners.

For my class project, "Readers Are Leaders In Kindergarten," I am asking for nonfiction phonics readers in varying levels and word family readers.

These books I am requesting will make a difference in my students learning by giving them exposure to a variety of books at their reading level. Exposing my young learners to books that have words they can sound out will help build their confidence in themselves and their confidence in themselves as readers. My goal is to expose my students to as many different kinds of books (different authors, genres, levels, etc) as possible in the hopes of having my students develop a love for books, a love for reading and a love for learning.
