Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

We are a Title 1 school that is environment science focus and we need books about the various ways to recycle and protect our planet. Our students love to read and story time is always a favorite. But our library lacks books on recycling. Your donation would supply our classroom and library with books about recycling and protecting our planet. Our students will be inspired about simple ways to recycle at school and home. The books will also offer them an opportunity to learn about environmental leaders around the world and hopefully inspire to take on a eco challenge themselves. In addition, books on upcycling and planet-friendly crafts will be used with the students as projects throughout the year especially for open house night where students will be able to display what they've learned to their families.
