Readers and Artists All Year Round

Help me give my students access to reading at home with Book Totes and the opportunity to show the artist in them with canvas boards.

My Project

This group of students were preschool age during COVID-19. Their foundational skills, both academically and socially, were greatly impacted by schools closing and opening again with many COVID restrictions, including social distancing and mask wearing.

These art resources will give us the opportunity to show our creativity through art with canvas boards, CD disks and fall art materials and the Book Totes will help us make connections at home through vibrant literacy while we ensure a safe, clean environment with the wipes.

When we embed art within the curriculum and use art resources to show our learning, the children are provided with the opportunity to build their social-emotional skills. Also, when we engage families to share in reading together at home, we foster a life-long love for reading and learning.
