My Project

The items in this bundle are going to be used in conjunction with some great ideas that will hopefully incentivize grade 8 readers and writers to excel. As a twenty-year educator, I have often felt that students should not be rewarded for achieving expectations, and that instead "the prize should be inside." But now we are competing with social media and other platforms that deliver immediate gratification, making it harder to reinforce this idea of intrinsic motivation.

With these materials, students will hopefully gain confidence through exploration of reading and writing tactics and skills while building intrinsic motivation.

With the help of everything from bulletin boards to display their work to whiteboards to compete in groups, students can enjoy ELA and learn while having fun. With your generous contribution, the students will feel proud and successful. I can't wait to see what they can produce!
