My Students

My class is energetic, kind, and curious. Each one of my 23 students is unique. We have students from different backgrounds and families, and with very different personalities.

In our class, we work together, building on each other’s strengths.

We make mistakes and keep trying. My students practice patience. They are learning to be resilient problem-solvers. They are learning to access information through technology. They are learning how to collaborate with groups. They are learning to be kind and responsible people in a social and interconnected world.

My Project

My students are future authors and scientists. We will use these new books to help us learn more about the writing process as we look at good writing traits. We will read about how real authors come up with ideas, revise and publish their books.

Students will read these new science books about animal adaptions in our classroom library.

The will learn about how different animals have adapted to survive in our world. They will work in teams writing and connecting in soft new swivel chairs that can easily move for collaboration. The Trouble game will give us a new option for our rainy day recess time.
