Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Kindergarten is a magical time when students take their first steps into the world of reading. In our classroom, we celebrate every “aha!” moment—from recognizing letters to reading their very first sentences.

To support this incredible growth, we need a variety of decodable books and engaging fiction stories that are both accessible and exciting for early readers.

I am requesting:

Decodable books that align with our phonics instruction, giving students the practice they need with sounds and sight words in a structured and supportive way.

Fiction picture books that introduce storytelling, new vocabulary, and a love for reading through vibrant illustrations and meaningful messages.

In addition, a four pack of bins to store these beautiful new books.

These books will be used in small group instruction, independent reading time, and take-home book bags to encourage reading with families. Having access to both decodable texts and rich fiction will support our students at all stages of early literacy.
