My Students

My students are so passionate about learning. They work hard to strengthen their reading skills. During DEAR time many students look forward to reading book series, comics, fiction and nonfiction books that are engaging and exciting to read.

Reading is fundamental!

During independent reading time this is their time to choose a book that excites them. For that struggling reader it is important to provide books that are on their level so they can also enjoy the excitement of reading with out difficulty. I will like to provide a plethora of books on every student reading level. I want to be able to provide books that my students will have the desire to read. Providing my students with high quality diverse literature is important to me.

My Project

My goal this year is to increase my students' interest in reading. My students need a variety of books that will increase their interest in reading.

Diversity is the key!

Providing my students with engaging books that peek their interest will be great. Reading books of interest will help increase their vocabulary and reading stamina. Once they get interested in their topic of choice they will want to cuddle up with their books and escape into the world of words. My goal is to also establish book clubs and engage my students in meaningful discussions.

By supporting this project, you will be providing many of my students not only the opportunity to read in school but they will have the opportunity to read at home as well. Many of our students don't have literature to read at home for their pleasure. You will play a key role in providing this opportunity for many of our children. We are thankful for your contribution.
