This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Reading is my absolute favorite pastime, and I am always trying to share that love with my students. Reading is a great way to relax and escape, but it is also a fantastic tool for learning!

There have been many times when my students have come to me to share information they have learned through books.

They are always trying to learn, and they know reading is the best way to do that. When I am teaching a new Social Studies unit, I always encourage my students to find books to help them learn more about the topic, and they just can't wait!

My Project

Unfortunately, not all the non-fiction books available to my students are on appropriate reading levels for them. That is why it is very important for them to have the opportunity to pick non-fiction books that they can actually read! If a book is too difficult to comprehend, they will not be able to take as much from it. With your donation, this will no longer be as much of a problem.
