My Project

One of the many characters that students get to meet in their library when they are kindergartners is the Rainbow Fish.

The Rainbow Fish books promote many social skills we want to instill in our little learners.

The books promote sharing, sportsmanship, empathy, helping others, telling the truth. They also encourage interest in ocean life and exploration.

Often the students get introduced in their own classrooms, so when they see the books in the library, they get really excited, recognizing the character. The students love to look at the shiny illustrations. As they are still learning the words, I will often hear them telling their own stories to correspond with the pictures.

This project will allow us to receive more titles in the series, as well as gain more copies of the stories we already read.
