This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
My preschool scholars this year are extremely interested in reading and all things literacy. They enjoy listening and reading many fun picture books from our classroom library. We would love to send some of these books home for them to enjoy with their families.
Instilling a love of reading is one of our many goals in our Great Start Readiness Program preschool class.
When a teacher reads a book to this particular group of students, they enjoy reading and imitating how the teacher read it to them.
They are a tight-knit group and can often be found reading with a friend or several friends with several copies of their favorite books.
