Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our class achieved a 60% increase in reading skills this year, which is a significant accomplishment. It's evident that expanding our class library has had a substantial impact on our students' reading abilities. I aim to ensure that our library encompasses a wide range of genres, cultures, and perspectives to engage all students and help them relate to the stories they read.

I plan to introduce reading challenges or programs to motivate students to read more and explore different types of books.

I always welcome students' book recommendations for our library, as this gives them a sense of ownership and can inspire them to read more. Additionally, I will use reading logs or digital tools to help students track their reading progress and will celebrate milestones to keep them motivated.
