Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My Pre-K students come from disadvantaged areas. They are excited to come to class and start their day. They are all curious about everything. They are most often brought in by older siblings or some come by bus.

As they come in happy to start the day we exchange High Fives & we tell each other " This is a great day to learn" They greet everyone with hugs and bright smiles.

They skip on in to put away their backpacks to join in singing our songs at circle time. Their favorite time of the day is "Story Time."

My Project

My Pre-K students will use the listening & learn phonemic awareness kit, the paint, the iPad and a class set of wireless headphones to help their reading skills.

Your donations will help my students who need a lot of help with language and literacy as they come from many different countries with a variety of challenges such as limited vocabulary, language stimulation, and fine motor skills.

I will work with them using the materials you donate to improve their mastery in these areas which are basic to insure academic success. Most of them are still struggling to answer: who, what, where, when & why questions. Your donations will help them explore & discover while providing them with the skills they need to read and retell stories.
