Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are goofy, silly, funny, emotional, frustrated, energetic, impulsive, and craving someone to care about them. My classroom consists of 10 students with special needs and 15 students of mixed English language learners and general education students. This makes it difficult to meet the various needs of the students in my classroom.

I do my very best to make each child feel special and assure them they can do it.

My school has a huge population of low socioeconomic students, as well as children in shelters. It would be great to give these students a chance and an opportunity to meet their optimal potential.

My Project

During these difficult times, it has been quite the task figuring out different ways to allow each and every students' voice to be heard. It would be amazing to have a bright, eye-catching LED message board with stand, along with Painting Canvases. My students would have the opportunity to design their own message of the day and have it displayed to spark others to share their thoughts next. Each child will have the opportunity to decorate their message with their own art. All children, whether in-person, or learning at home, will have the opportunity to share their thoughts, message and art.

My students are dealing with so many mixed emotions and it is the MOST important for them to have a way to express those thoughts in a healthy way and in a safe space.

We can't thank you enough for all your help in the most trying of times.
