My Project

My students with Autism love sensory toys. It helps them calm down when they are feeling overwhelmed and also helps them focus. My students have a variety of needs and having additional equipment will help them learn new skills in a fun way. Physical education is no longer just about playing and learning motor skills. As an educator, I am teaching my students literacy skills as well as providing them with the tools they need to be successful in life. Having a classroom library will help improve their reading skills as well as teach them concepts such as personal space, respect for each other, sportsmanship, etc.
