Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are curious, creative, and motivated to learn through imitation, building relationships with others, and experiencing their surroundings. They all came from diverse backgrounds and include gifted and talented students, English language learners, and Students with special needs. My little people are hardworking and eager to learn. Children are building a sound foundation of skills, knowledge, and approaches to learning necessary to succeed in school and life in their early years. Children in my classroom are learning print concepts, how to hold the books, directionality, and how letters make sounds and words. Through read-aloud, we are trying to develop their social-emotional, physical, cognitive, language and literacy, and adaptive skills that will set up their foundation for the life. I am so excited to see their growth throughout the year by providing an authentic experience and engaging lessons to aid in developing their language and literacy and communication skills.

My Project

These books will help our children to develop basic language skills and profoundly expand their vocabulary. Books will develop and nourish children's imaginations, expanding their worlds. Picture books will introduce young children to the world of art and literature. Nonfiction books will stimulate their sensory awareness, helping kids to see, hear, taste, feel, and smell on an imagined level. Books will inform our children's imaginations, and inspiring creativity. Books will strengthen their self-confidence and help them understand who they are. Children will experience a variety of information, experience, and knowledge that will develop their moral and ethical development. As readers, they will discover distinct characters in which children will find their own identities, develop empathy, and build an inclusive community.

As an educator, I want to stimulate children's imagination, expand their understanding of the world, and help them develop language and literacy skills.

My dream goal is to motivate children to want to read so they will practice reading independently and, thus, become fluent readers.
